PostSubject: Genderqueer - What It Means   Sat Jan 10, 2009 3:46 am

Genderqueer and intergender are catchall terms for gender identities other than man and woman. People who identify as genderqueer may think of themselves as being both male and female, as being neither male nor female, or as falling completely outside the gender binary. Some wish to have certain features of the opposite sex and not all characteristics; others want it all.

Some genderqueer people see their identity as one of many possible genders other than male or female, while others see "genderqueer" as an umbrella term that encompasses all of those possible genders. Still others see "genderqueer" as a third gender to complement the traditional two, while others identify as genderless or agender. Genderqueer people are united by their rejection of the notion that there are only two genders.

Here is a list of other words for Genderqueer: (Some of these are funny)

* Androgyne
* Bigender
* Gender-fluid
* Incrediqueer
* Inqueerable
* Intergender
* Megagender
* Megaqueer
* Multigender
* Neuter/Neutrois/Agender
* Omnigender
* Polygender
* Post-gender
* Supragender
* Third gender

I happen to be Genderqueer. I would like to appear completely female but keep my penis. I want to be the best of both worlds. =P I just don't lfeel like a boy or a girl... I kinda feel like both and neither. It's hard to explain.

I think it's an interesting topic.
" as being neither male nor female" This also fits a class of people who believe they are not human, people who feel they belong as an animal.
I find both sides of it very fun to research about.
Do I discriminate against it? No, it's a choice, or a way to live.
Do I support it? No, for it's against my faith.
Do I care if you believe in it? That's your choice, we have our right to decide.
Would I accept friends who beliebe in this? I've met people who are further from "normal" so yup yup. Smile

we know franci XD i think its fine if your transgender or something like that,and if thats your choice thats fine by me. my religion (catholic) says its wrong,but im not the most religious person ever anyway. so if its what u think is right,god has no rite to say its wrong XD after all,he supports happyness. and if being transgender makes u happy,he wont get in da way XD

Lol, thanks Jak. I'm not religious at all, I would be either Atheist or Scientologist. I just think that there are too many discrepancies in the bible for it to be logical, so I just can't force myself to blindly believe in something without questioning it. It's called "Genderqueer" not "Transgender" because Transgender is when they want to become the opposite sex entirely. I want my penis, it's my best friend, I don't leave home without it. XD
